Obama is going after Russia, and he wants U.S. intelligence agencies to deliver the evidence before he leaves office.

The President wants a “full review of what happened during the 2016 election process,” according to White House counterterrorism adviser Lisa Monaco.

Monaco said at a breakfast Friday morning hosted by the Christian Science Monitor that Obama has ordered the U.S. intelligence agencies to conduct a full review and deliver back to him all the evidence that cyber attacks and other means were used to intervene and interfere with the 2016 presidential election to make information public.

NBC News noted that “since the U.S. government has already said that all 17 intelligence agencies agree Russia was behind the hacks, Monaco’s meaning was clear.”

“We may have crossed into a new threshold, and it is incumbent upon us to take stock of that, to review, to conduct some after-action, to understand what has happened and to impart some lessons learned,” Monaco is reported to have said at the breakfast.

Fox News reported:

The intelligence community already has probed suspected foreign intervention in the U.S. election, having concluded earlier that Russia-backed actors likely were involved in breaching and releasing Democratic Party emails during the 2016 cycle.

The final weeks of the White House race also were rocked by WikiLeaks’ publication of Hillary Clinton Campaign Chairman John Podesta’s hacked emails.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has repeatedly denied that the Russians had anything to do with leaking the tens of thousands of emails which they made public, but the Clinton campaign and the Obama administration have repeatedly insisted the Russians are to blame.
