There is a new ‘ghost town’ in China

An athletes village built for China’s National Games in 2013 and later planned for redevelopment now stands virtually empty and is a ghost town, according to a newspaper report.

The complex was built in Shenyang for when Liaoning province hosted the games, but public infrastructure at the site is now low, the housing occupancy rate is near zero and prices for some properties have plummeted 50 per cent, according to the China Business News.

Shenyang’s municipal government was tipped to move into the site after the games.

Other developers began projects in the area believing it was ripe for redevelopment, but the city government told the newspaper it had never promised to move its headquarters into the village.

Some development projects in the 120-hectare complex have never been completed and have fallen into disrepair, the report said.

Black Community Pushes Back Against Modern Tuskegee Experiments on Children

In an emergency town hall meeting in Los Angeles recently Minister Tony Muhammad mobilized a united front against awareness and action in his community. Standing beside Robert F Kennedy Jr. and Dr Brian Hooker, the trio delivered irrefutable evidence that there is a modern-day Tuskegee medical experiment happening once again in the African-American community. Unlike the Tuskegee syphilis experiments that spanned from 1932-1972 consisting of a small cross section of adults, this new state-sponsored experimentation is being imposed on an entire population of children.

“We are taught in the Nation of Islam that we will fight and die on truth. And all we wish to do is to share data with them [black politicians] that there’s a possibility that vaccines is injuring black boys at rates nearly five times worse than their white counterparts. Put on the brakes and lets look at this first.” –Minister Tony Muhammad

Black civil rights icon and former Mayor of Atlanta Andrew Young says that debate over the Confederate flag is a divisive non-issue which completely distracts from the real problem – the fact that 93% of blacks are killed by other blacks.

‘Coordinated attack’ downs services with cut lines

Internet providers suffered disruptions Tuesday in what a West Coast internet provider said appeared to be a coordinated physical attack on three high-capacity “backbone” lines in California.

Wave Broadband said three major fiber-optic cables in the Sacramento area were “physically severed in what appears to be a coordinated attack on multiple internet carriers.”

Wave spokesman Mark Peterson said the company’s subscribers in the suburban Sacramento area were suffering outages, and crews were working to restore the connections, which were severed at 4:20 a.m. local time. Peterson said Wave itself is a customer of the two backbone companies apparently targeted, Level 3 and Zayo. Both backbone companies are based in Colorado.

In a statement, a Level 3 spokeswoman confirmed a “service disruption” and said the company assessing the damage and impact, while a crew on the ground was preparing to repair the line.

Representatives of Zayo did not immediately return requests for comment.

Fiber-optic backbone cables are the interstate highways of the information superhighway, carrying vast amounts of data between decentralized hubs. From there, Internet services are delivered to homes and businesses by smaller cables, including DSL.
